The Port Macquarie Member Information Night was held last Tuesday, 17th June at Panthers Port Macquarie and was attended by over 30 people from 16 Member businesses. Presentations from SafeWork NSW and Business Partners, Capricorn and MTAA Super as well as MTA NSW, were well received.

A Member Information Night was held in Griffith on the 20th June at the Griffith Ex-Services Club. The night was attended by over 25 people from 11 Member businesses. All the information provided was well received and a few questions from the floor were answered during the presentation.

MTA NSW has been actively engaged in a diverse range of meetings and events so far in 2018. Here is a Mid-Year update on all meetings and events that our Members have had opportunities to attend:

Both MTA NSW Members and the wider automotive industry attended today an update on the Takata Airbag Recall issue and were briefed by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and Corrs Chambers Westgarth (advisers to the Takata Task Force).

MTA NSW Chief Executive Officer, Stavros Yallouridis, was interviewed by The National Collision Repairer Magazine for their June 2018 issue, to share his background and discuss the progress being made as he transforms the Motor Traders’ Association of NSW into a dynamic and progressive industry Association.

On the 16th May 2018, MTA NSW held a Member Information Night in Newcastle. Part of that evening was to recognise our long standing Members that were present on the night. Between these members there was over 154 years’ experience within the automotive industry.

MTA NSW CEO, Stavros Yallouridis, was invited by the NSW Liberal Party to attend the Federal Budget update lunch on Friday 11th May at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel in Sydney.
