Members will be aware that commencing at midnight on Sunday 3rd January, 2021 a new Public Health Order came into effect surrounding the wearing of “face coverings” in certain premises. Whilst the news reports concentrated on hospitality venues inclusive of shopping centers, hairdressing salons and tanning salons, members should be aware that the Public Health Order covers many more venues and in our view will apply to many of our members.

Commencing on the 1st January, 2021 the Retail and Other commercial Leases (COVID-19) Regulation (No 3) 2020 came into operation. Drivers who fail to pay for petrol are in the sights of Burwood Police Area Command, with officers placing stickers on fuel bowsers to target fraudsters.
