Kody Garland Gears Up for Round 3 at the Darwin Super Sprint Aussie Racing Car Challenge, June 14 - 16
The Aussie Racing Cars Championship has featured some of the nation’s biggest motorsport events so far in its 20th anniversary season. It has also spotlighted the rising racing career of one of its youngest and talented competitors, 18-year-old Kody Garland.
Aussie Racing Cars kicked off its 2019 campaign in February this year at the Adelaide 500 with Motor Traders’ Association of NSW sponsored driver and 3rd Year mechanical apprentice, Kody Garland from Advanced Automotive in Taree in his first ever Aussie Racing Car round. Garland impressed spectators in a race car approximately half the size of its full-sized counterparts.
Round 2 saw Garland maintaining his position alongside the leading pack for most of the race of the Tasmanian SuperSprint in April and, true to form Garland didn’t make it easy on them saying, “I was in a few really good battles.”
A 28-car field of Aussie Racing Cars is assembled for the third round of the 2019 Championship at the Darwin Super Sprint. In just a couple of days [14-16 June] Garland will be back at the wheel in #41 and says is, “Super keen to hit the track at Darwin and see what we can do.” More on Aussie Racing Cars, Round 3 here
